At Al Sadiq Islamic English School we follow the IGCSE (GCE) ‘O’ Level, Cambridge University and the academic year runs from September to June. We accept registration during the months of Feb – June. While we try to accommodate as many students as we can, there are constraints concerning limitations of numbers in each class.
Admission for the Primary, Middle and Secondary Section (Grade KG2 to Grade 9)

Parents are expected to
Provide the school with copies of all medical, psychological or educational assessments or reports before entry to the school. Such materials are a prerequisite in enabling us to provide the best education for your child. Failure to disclose any such information, including the deliberate withholding of information, may result in your child not making the expected progress in school
The subjects for the Admission test are English & Math (KG2 to 5) and 9 to 11 (Commerce).
Admission test for Grade 6 to 11 English, Math & Science (including 9 to 11 offering Science faculty).
Entrance tests are conducted for admissions from KG2 to Grade 10.
A revised Entrance Test Portion will be published in February/March 2018 for the Academic Year 2018-19.

The maximum number of children in a class is 30. In FS, Year 1 and Year 2 classes are supported by teaching assistants as well as the class teacher.
There is a wonderful range of nationalities in the school and families of all nations are welcome. At present there is approximately 42 nationalities studying in the school.
Al Sadiq school welcomes staff from all nations to work at the school, these include staff from India and Pakistan. Therefore, there is a unique mix from all countries.
Ongoing recruitment of staff occurs throughout the year to ensure we are fully staffed. All our teaching staff must hold a degree in teaching to ensure the highest level of knowledge and pedagogy is available to our students. All teaching staff attend an interview with our Principal, Senior Leaders and the Management Company; as well as teaching trial lessons.
Yes, our wonderful Parent Association regularly meets to ensure that ‘Parent Voice’ is continuously taken into account in the day to day running of the school. We greatly appreciate the active role they take to support the ongoing success of Al Sadiq. A parent is also on our school’s Governing body.
Due to our long-standing establishment within the community we have a very high number of applicants every year. Depending on the year group there is a different ration of acceptance, however FS and the lower grades have the highest level of subscription. All students are asked to sit a short entrance exam or interview before they are accepted at the school.
All the teachers and students at Al Sadiq play an active role in monitoring students’ progress and attainment. The school carries out all formal tests required by KHDA such as CAT4 as well as the Cambridge Curriculum Checkpoint assessments and GCSEs. Throughout the term students’ progress and attainment is constantly reviewed and monitored by staff and this is shared with the students and the parents. This helps to ensure that all students are fully aware of their own learning journey. Students are awarded through constant positive praise within the classroom as well as certificates, notes to parents and awards.
Parents are actively encouraged to participate in all aspects of school life. Each year starts with Parent Meetings to announce any new initiatives, such as Moral Education, give briefings on the course and to let parents know the best ways to contact the school. Then throughout the year parents are requested to make comments on their child’s work, give feedback and discuss with their teacher’s their child’s progress. Each term parent-teacher days are held where parents come to have specific meetings about their children.
Parents are also encouraged to take an even more proactive role in school life where they are invited into school to give talks and join in with activities such as sports events or healthy eating snack making.
The school holds the safety of its students and staff at the highest level. We understand without feeling happy and safe a child will not reach their potential.
Behaviour is always commented upon by inspectors as being a strength of the school during KHDA reports. Mutual respect is expected with all members of our school community and Islamic Values create the basis of our behaviour vision. Students are awarded across the school of their attitude to learning, demonstrating moral values and their academic achievements.
Islamic Studies and Islamic Values are at the core of everything we do here at Al Sadiq School. The Islamic values are interwoven across the curriculum and every day running of the school to ensure that Islam is always at the heart. Arabic and Islamic Studies are taught across the school by a team of highly trained and experienced teachers who aim to use the up to date pedagogies of teaching alongside the traditional core value of the Arabic and Islamic culture.
Technology is playing a growing role in the life of all members of the Al Sadiq community. Every classroom has interactive whiteboards and these are currently being updated with new interactive smart panels. These are used to allow students to be active participants in their learning, accessing online games, websites and programs such as Education City. Fully equipped Computing Labs are used by all the students to improve their ICT skills as well as research skills in cross curricular learning. A new laptop trolley has also been invested in to allow technology to come further into the classrooms and expand cross curricular learning.
Al Sadiq offers all its students extracurricular activities after school to fully develop their learning. This ranges from our innovative, award winning vertical gardening to Cricket and Curriculum extension Clubs. Our school competes in many Competitions, not just sport but academic fields as well, often returning with awards!
Our school works closely with our School Transport Company – Emirates Transport to ensure that our students travel safely to and from school. The majority of our students arrive and leave each day on the school bus. We aim to provide transport across Dubai and Sharjah.
Our school have a well-staffed Achievement Centre – who support children who have specific needs within our school. This includes our Gifted Students, to those who find studying and school life harder than others. This team includes two counsellors who work to support the emotional needs of our students are also met. This team works closely with the class teachers, subject teachers and parents to ensure all students in their care achieve in school.
Many of our students go onto great successes after leaving Al Sadiq. Each year we are so proud to see our Year 11 students being selected for the best schools in the UAE and then Universities around the world. This is due to their strong work ethic, extracurricular experience and of course, their high grades.
The Al Sadiq parent community are kept regularly informed about the school through circulars, text messages, school diaries and meetings with staff. However, this year we have also launched our School App, which allows the home and school to communicate immediately with one another. This includes fee payments, up and coming events, student results, photos of the class learning to name a few!
The school puts continuous learning of all its stakeholders at the highest priority. Not just the students, but parents are often invited to workshops and meetings so that they are aware of the latest in learning. Staff at Al Sadiq School have 2 days a week of training where they learn about the latest advances in teaching and their subjects in order to ensure they are passing this information and skills onto our pupils. This training may involve in-house training from leaders within the school, training from the Management Company or from outside agencies from all over the world.
